The objective of this scientific contribution is to summarize the issue of the admissibility of camera recordings created and obtained by employers as evidence in labor law disputes. The paper, utilizing specialized literature and judicial decisions, describes what is considered admissible and inadmissible evidence in civil proceedings, specifically focusing on camera recordings from employee monitoring. Given that ultimately the court must seek justice by balancing the rights of specific dispute participants, it is impossible to arrive at a universal solution regarding the (in) admissibility of such contentious evidence. However, the authors‘ ambition is at least tocompile and unify procedures for interested parties involved in this matter. Key words: camera recordings, monitoring of employee, evidence, labor law disputes, proportionality test
